When I decided to dedicate my book to Paula Braitstein, I also committed to donate $1 from every book sale to cancer research. Paula was diagnosed with stage 3 pancreatic cancer in mid-2019. The beautifully stubborn, headstrong woman proceeded to get into the 3rd percentile of cancer patients who live 3 years past diagnosis.

My book release raised over $600 for cancer research. Since then, I have sold another 110 books = another $110 towards cancer research in Paula's memory. Generous donors have also donated via my support book page.

At Paula's service, she was called a world citizen for all the hard work to source funding to help our planet and those in need. Whether it was planting trees in the Kapatag forest near her home, sending children to school, or funding school swim teams, she was there.
